Knucklebones: Leading Consumer Board Game Publication Accepting Acquisition Bids

November 16, 2007 – Iola, Wisconsin – Jones Publishing of Iola, Wisconsin, announced today that Knucklebones magazine, a leading consumer board game magazine and part of its publishing portfolio, will begin to accept acquisition bids today.

The move is the result of a process of reorganization. Over the past two years, the magazine has seen continued circulation and ad revenue growth. In addition, Jones Publishing has formed a number of strategic partnerships and gained crucial industry support through partnerships with the American International Toy Fair and the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA). The magazine, however, no longer fits Jones Publishing’s long-term strategic goals.

This unique consumer and retail board game magazine represents a $2.4 billion industry according to figures released by the Toy Industry Association. Moreover, based on a consumer survey conducted by NPD Group, a retail information company, game and puzzle sales are forecasted to remain solid into 2008 and beyond.

Knucklebones will be sold through a bidding process. All interested parties should request an information portfolio by December 1, 2007. Contact information can be found by clicking on the About Us link
